Dumpster Service Tips

We posted an example of the clearance length required to deliver a dumpster. This is why we only deliver the smaller dumpsters, with smaller trucks in an alleyway. The dumpster must be delivered straight with 58ft in length plus additional 10ft to drive away. (68 Ft total)  Please give us a call if we can help answer any additional questions. 

We need a min of 22 ft height clearance when it comes to trees and powerlines. So we posted an example of the hoist clearance required to deliver a dumpster. This is especially important in residential areas as the phone and internet lines tend to hang a little lower. Please give us a call if we can help answer any additional questions.

The truck is wider than the dumpster and needs a 12 ft wide opening to fit past gates and 14 ft if trying to pass between buildings.  Please give us a call if we can help answer any additional questions.

Dirt, concrete, gravel, and rocks must be 100% clean with ZERO trash-filled 3/4 of the way due to weight. If the load is mixed with the trash we must take it to the landfill and the OW fee will apply for anything over the tonnage allowance.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, monitors, TVs, thinners, lacquers, paints, solvents, oils, contaminated absorbents, asbestos, batteries, infectious waste, contaminated soils, fuels, inks, car tires, and flammable materials. These items are not allowed in the dumpster, and additional charges will apply if they are found in your load—for example, a $35 fee per tire.

We can deliver in the front yard but shall not be responsible for damage to customer’s property servicing the location designated by the customer. We have no way of knowing if a sprinkler, waterline, or gas line runs through the yard.

Per city ordinance, a Barricade Permit must be obtained from City before we are allowed to leave the dumpster overnight in the street. We do have options to live load the same day, but to leave overnight the dumpster must be on the customer's property. Call for more details to find out about live loads. 

On collection day, the Customer shall provide unobstructed access to the equipment. If equipment is inaccessible, the Customer will be notified and charged for any additional collection service or attempts to provide such service. $150-$250 varying on distance.

Dumpster sizes are measured in cubic yards. For example, a 15-yard dumpster refers to a volume of 15 cubic yards, not a length of 15 feet. To calculate cubic yards, measure the inside length (in feet), width (in feet), and depth (in feet), then divide the by 27. ​ L x W x H ÷ 27 = Cubic Yards
